Yunus Effendi came back. Just as on the night that he left the moon and the stars were the only witnesses.”How many years has it been? How many years did you stay stewing in this lodge? But you are still raw, Yunus. What is this toughness, this rawness? You still smell of this world.”Your love has wrested me away from me. You’re the one I need, the one I crave. Day and night I burn, gripped by agony. You’re the one I need, you’re the one I crave. I find no great joy in being alive. If I ceased to exist, I would not grieve. The only solace I have is your love. You’re the one I need, you’re the one I crave. Lovers yearn for you, but your love slays them. Buries them at the bottom of the sea.

It has Allah’s images-it displays them, You’re the one I need, you’re the one I crave.” Come, my Musa, come. Permission, my Sheikh. May your morning be one of fortune. May our destiny be a kind one. Your followers stayed up all night, my Sheikh. They desire to be honoured by standing behind you in prayer. As salamu Alaikum ve Rahmatullah! As salamu Alaikum ve Rahmatullah! Welcome, Effendis. Welcome, my Sheikh, thanks to he who reunites us. But We have been waiting for you for a long time, my Sheikh. We thought you wouldn’t come back from Madina. We prayed to stay in Madina but the petition wasn’t accepted. Our Allah protects you for us, my Sheikh. Tell me, how are things here? Have our prayers and works borne fruit, praise Allah? We travelled and saw the world that land of Islam is burning.

I walked many years on the path of hadj. So If you ask me what did I see? That what I saw. Everybody desires our land. We have to work more than anyone. We’ll serve the people of this land and count ourselves as nothing if needs be. Without asking a single drop from anyone but Allah. We shall not desire any wealth or positions of power. Prayers are enough for us, and nothing else. Did we ask for anything for ourselves? Here is our lodge. Do we hide our wealth? We eat and drink what we have. All these pupils and merchants, do they serve us? Do we ask anything from them? The pocket may be ours but the hand belongs to the people. We have a fight. But We have a cause. So We left worldly matters aside. Their world is out there for such desires.

We do not ask for a lodge, nor wealth nor position of power. Our sickness deteriorates in the desert. At times I had given up any thought of return. Our Allah blessed us with it in the end. My eyes blackened for a moment, while I was circumambulating the Kaaba. I say, please my Allah. Take my life in this holy land. I asked Him to end my misery. We humble ourselves! I asked Him not to let me fall further into sin. I asked Him but we could not know how apparently. It seems we have more sins to commit. We humble ourselves, nothing doing! Musa gives the people their gifts we brought from adj. My Sheikh, Merchant Ă–mer Effendi desires to devote his two shops in the marketplace, So if you will accept them.

We have no need for shops, Musa. What we need at this age is a sleeveless shirt. But if you say it will help the poor then let him. We will start the paperwork immediately, my Sheikh. Good, good. You may withdraw now, Musa Effendi. And Musa we desire to read books for a while. We have been on the road for so long. So If it is not urgent we wish not to be interrupted. As you wish, my Sheikh. Here we are to part ways, Master judge. This time it is sure that our paths will be separate ones. Even if they do, the way is one. Of course, my Sheikh. The way is one. It comes from one who goes back to one. Tell Tapduk Emre to come here! Did you not hear me? I said get him here immediately! What is it, Hasan Agha?

But Master judge wishes to ask a few questions. Are you Sheikh Tapduk Emre? Far from it! So We are the dust on his feet, praise Allah. But We asked for him, where is he? My Sheikh is in dhikr. Subashi, we’ll search the lodge. Master judge.-Search the place now! If anyone objects, arrest him! It has been so long, my Yunus. Tell me, what have you see? What have you experienced? have made a mistake, my Sultan No matter how many mistakes I make how many sins I commit you did not turn your back on me. Come, my Yunus, come! do not ask why those come and those who leave these gates do so. Welcome, Master judge. You object to our form of justice. Not at all, Master judge. Our objection is not towards justice but to the verdict. These are state affairs, Sheikh Effendi, do not interfere.

Don’t ask me about myself. I’m not inside The I within me is deeper than myself. I can’t lay a hand on the One who took me from me. You can’t go over the head of the Sultan. Some people get their share of revelations And some people aim to go deeper than this. In the beautiful light of His face. Is a fire brighter than the light of the day? Yunus chanced to meet a Friend. Who showed him a door inside. After many months and years, he went silently to his old doorstep.
